Ratings and Reviews can now be used as it has moved from closed alpha to open alpha!

You'll notice that there's a few more fields than the usual user review. Price of game, how you played it, what currency was used, pros, cons, personal experience with the game, grade, and then other things like verified and unverified scores. This, along with a bunch of other values, are being used to make something unique that'll open up more as we see how this open alpha goes.

Don't worry about formatting issues on any submissions made or overall score weirdness, everything is saving properly formatted and scored in the backend, we're just running some tests and changes in the meantime to get the outputs completely correct, so they'll be wacky in the meantime.

PC and Mobile have also both been removed for the open alpha. Both will return once the current five have been subject to some open submissions and we've seen no errors for open submission (there weren't any on closed accounts, and none so far on open account either in terms of saving).

During the open alpha will be a closed beta occurring as well, then jumping to open final. Neither of those will take especially long after this, in the next few weeks or month approximately.

A quick FAQs:

Q: Do reviews give me points?

A: Yes they do! All submission types will be granted a point payout, however part of this being an open alpha right now is to closed test all the points combos possible, including verified vs unverified, trial/league multipliers and otherwise. Until we have a final ratio for those, they'll stay hidden.

Q: Why are there four games per platform?

A: In the open alpha, we'll be using featured games to better funnel usage. Easier testing, less mess.

Followup Q: Will there only be featured games?

A: No, all releases will be added as they come out once this is in final, and games will be added retroactively as well. Full platform lists and sorting already exists, we're just keeping it closed off for simplicity's sake in the alpha. :)

If you have any other questions, let us know in here and we'll answer as able. The Ratings area will be changing up a bunch as we see everything moving ok, including a full scope of the features we've made. It's actually kind of nutty what we're doing, so tapering it out like this moving forward is smart for sanity's sake. :V

Happy rating!

What platforms do you plan on adding?

All, right down to the Odyssey, Fairchild Channel F, GAME.COM, Atari Jaguar, and Playstation Portable. We'll go in order though, or add retroactively by developer, so if I'm feeling like checking out Wayforward's stuff, or Platinum, or Bungie, all of their games would be added. Seeing GNOP on there alone would be fun. :V
