Great combat with more emphasis on being flashy without as much variation as the Arkham games. Story and characters is pretty much borderline forgettable but that's not the point. The real story is the player's, branding uruks and watching their rise to power, or forging rivalries with other uruk all in an attempt to procure better and better runes to upgrade your weapons. But after completing the story and getting 100% completion (roughly 20-25 hours), Mordor becomes completely lifeless and I couldn't bring myself to keep playing. Heard Troy Baker played SoM for 200 hours, can't even imagine that. But it was still a ton of fun during those 25 hours. The DLC isn't that great but it came in the bundle I purchased.
Flashy combat, animations, visuals, killing uruks.
Story, characters, lifeless post-story world.

It's a great game but I think the story needed work. The game remind me of the first Assassin's creed game where the introduce new gameplay elements but the game still feels repetitive.
Nemesis system Gameplay
Short Story Repetitive gameplay

Combat/Stealth system Promotion Mechanics for enemies
Felt a little reptitive once you realize it's built around the promotion system
